My week end

Not so much the weekend but rather the end of my week. It was honestly very busy.

I was looking forward to just spending time at home doing absolutely nothing. Seems like the more I want to do that, the less likely it happens. Wednesday was a day of running all around town including a very exciting trip to the dollar store. That place is seriously addictive but I actually did get some useful stuff instead of just snacks. I got some little baskets for my samples drawer. At first it was just little packets all over the place but now it looks respectable and will hopefully encourage me to use more samples.

Thursday was yet another night of shopping. Mom needed a few things and she was like "Get these things and if you see anything on sale, get it. The sky's the limit." My initial thought was:

When I got to the store, I kinda did that but I restrained myself fearing it was a trap. My area of least restraint: the liquor store. It was my first time being in one. And of course the store was full of unsavories and I was just this sweet little girl buying tequila. I didn't know which kind to get so I nervously asked the clerk but she was no help. Then I got the giggle fits when I handed her my ID. But nervousness aside, I survived the liquor store.

Friday, I helped my mom with an anniversary cake delivery at this high-rise members only club thing downtown. It was my first real time there so like a kid, I ran out onto the terrace and stared and took pictures in awe. Downtown is so awesome! And I was able to locate both my highschool and my jr. highschool. It was a little tough to do so though. A lot of things, I couldn't recognize. I just had to guess.

I couldn't leave you without pics of the lovely cake my mom made. It was a 50th anniversary cake... It doesn't show up very well, but the cake was also sprinkled with star-shaped gold edible glitter. Quite possibly one of my favorite points.

Then Friday was movie night with my friend. Went to Zaxby's (as usual) and we watched Bridesmaids and Horrible Bosses. Bridesmaids had its moments and they were really really good, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Horrible Bosses, on the other hand, had me dying inside. I just about died when I realised that the dentist was Jennifer Anniston. That was such a crazy character.

I'm writing this as I'm ending a semi-busy Saturday. Nothing really exciting... But I'm just settling in to bed now so everyone, enjoy your weekend <3
