That awkward lonliness

I was busy all day! I decided I wasn't going to blog because I didn't do anything special (although, I could geek out about my spazzing out in the dollar store today) and I didn't want to just write "I did blah blah blah today and it was so blah blah blah."

But suddenly, I got to thinking about some people who have been in my life A LOT that aren't really there anymore right now. I mean, we're still quite friendly, but it's just awkward talking to people after a long absence, y'know?

One person I really miss is my guild leader in RO. I affectionately call him Daddy behind his back :) He's a really kind guy and he always listens to me and forces out my problems. Sometimes I wonder if it's because I'm a girl... But he always wants to take care of the problems, and he's of an unknown age... I swear, I'm gonna get it out of him someday although it scares me to think that he's maybe like in his 50s. But our relationship became a tad awkward when he began spending more time playing WoW (something I totally loathe) and ended up getting a whole new set of friends and it seemed like we had less to talk about. It's been a while since I've last said anything to him...

And there's friends from a while ago. A very nice girl from IRC and I started exchanging letters. We exchanged quite a few, but then life got really hectic and I wrote a letter and all... but I never sent it. I ran across that letter while I was cleaning up and it made me a little sad that I never sent it. She was really nice to me. I still keep in contact with her boyfriend. I think I'll ask him for their address so I can finally send it.

And of course people from highschool... Well, I kinda discount those a little more. Highschool relationships are a little more... Well, honestly, I shouldn't do that. There were some fabulous people, but of course we all moved apart. Some of them I keep up with them on Facebook, but that's about it. Sad that it happened, but after growing up, things change and people change and so I'm kinda... Just a little not eager for those friendships as much as I am maintaining my adult friendships.

But I do have great friends. They help me get through a lot of tough times. They're great to have.
