Life goes on

Haven't been posting much lately. Things have been a little busy to say the least. On the good side, I have a new assignment at work so now I have a job again and that's been really exciting.

However, early this past Saturday morning, my grandmother died. She was 95. She had been going downhill for a while so I was emotionally prepared for this happening. I had a feeling it wouldn't be good when she had to be taken to the emergency room. Then my family got that late-night call. I was still in bed while my mother and brother went to the hospital and got to be there for the last hours she lived.

Then the following morning, my brother woke me up to tell me the news. I expected it all night. Thankfully, she died peacefully.

I'll be returning to the happiness as soon as life settles back down again.
