A weekend of wedding cakes and ponies

I was gonna finalize one of my drafted posts, but this weekend got so busy and exciting that I ended up pushing that to the side for now... But my weekend has been nice so far.

I did not spend as much time goofing off on Friday as I had wanted to. I forgot that I had to do my hair which normally takes a whole day to do. I added just a little time to my hair styling by adding my color. I was a bit disappointed. I knew it would just tint my hair and it succeeded in that. However, it dried my hair out massively. I had to soup it up with some conditioner to return to my normal soft and supple texture.

It's still a little dry... So I think next time, I'll try another one or maybe do things a little more differently.

I also enjoyed pizza. Thin crust chicken pizza. With extra sauce. It was awesome.

Also yesterday, my mom had a wedding cake delivery. Ahhh, the place was small and a little run down, but they had it decorated so nicely.

This was the bride and groom cake that she had to deliver. Would you believe that less than an hour before I took this pic, this cake had literally fallen apart? It was an amazing occurrence. After my mom got home from work, she noticed that the original plate the bride's cake was on had cracked. She thought she could just reinforce it and everything would be okay.

However, when she lifted up the cake to examine the damage, she discovered that the plate had completely cracked into 3 pieces under the weight of about 20 pounds worth of cake. Not only that, but the cake was beginning to crack apart.

She had to quickly work a miracle because delivery time was less than an hour away. She took it apart, put it back together, re-icing'd it and everything was good as new. She had to reconfigure the setup for the cake, but thankfully, the room was dim so the flaws weren't very apparent. I was so relieved!

Afterwards, my friend and I went out for dinner. Went with my favorite chicken parmesan even though that's what I always have. It was soooo yummy~ Got half of it saved for tonight's dinner. Afterwards, went to her place to watch Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings while laughing at people on Facebook. We need to go out more often. It was fun even though I was dreading to go a little.

A few days ago, Espeon tipped me off that Walmart had the blind bag ponies. I had been to Walmart a few times since he mentioned it, but I just totally forgot until today. I looked for the pony section and there they were!!!!!

I was just so in shock. I almost didn't expect to see them as I usually miss out on stuff like this. And I used this handy cheat sheet to get the ponies I wanted (Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy).

Picked up 3 of them. The last one is a secret for Espeon <3

I was quite eager to open them to see which ones I got, even though I knew which ones I got.

Or I thought I knew. I had accidentally put back the Pinkie Pie and got an Applejack instead. But at least I got the Fluttershy as well as getting the right one I wanted as a gift <3 At only $1.98, they're not a bad price. I'm really sad that they got a special mold for the rest of the mane 6, but not my fav Fluttershy. These two stand on their hind legs and amazingly, they take little to no effort to stand upright.

For now, I have my two blindbag ponies up with my bigger Fluttershy. Her hair was nicely groomed at one point, but my nieces got to her and she looks like a poofy mess. Thinking of referring to this tutorial that was suggested to me by Espeon to get her hair back into Fluttershape!

Did I just make up a stupid word...

Well, gonna find something good on TV and enjoy the rest of my Saturday.
