This morning was particularly lovely... I left out the house early enough to make a stop at Chick-fil-A and have a very desired Spicy Chicken Biscuit. Why...?
Because I got paid!!!!!!!
Life was hectic for a little bit and this whole starting to work again thing just came suddenly. I got a call from one of my co-workers that works in the front office. She normally called me in when they had work that I could do (actually, I wasn't completely fired, I was restricted in what work I could do) so I was expecting to be called in to work that Friday. However, she told me that they were going to be doing some training the following Monday. I wanted to work, but I wasn't all that excited about the offer put before me.
But then she told me of another training class that would be early in the morning. I really hesitated... While I didn't really like working nights, I wasn't so crazy about having to come in early in the morning, but I agreed anyway.
Then of course that night/the next day life took an unexpected turn.
By Monday, I was unsure if I should go in. But I got up, got dressed, got a water bottle and headed in for training. Now the way it sounded, it seemed like I would go in for the training and if they needed me later on, they would call me and I would work.
No. It was nothing like that!!!!!
I would train and then I would be set loose to work!!!! OMG, it's like they told me nothing. They trained me and they were like "Do a good job." I was a little nervous, but after a few minutes, it became really easy and not that much of a great effort.
So now, I'm working from 10AM to 5PM with a 30 minute lunch break Monday through Thursday. It's agreeable to me. The only thing about it is that by the time I get home, I'm tired and ready to go to bed T_T But after a week of working last week, I was rewarded this week with a beautiful paycheck. It's not huge, but considering what I made before in a week, it was significantly more. I can buy nice things and also work again on saving :)
So right now, I'm pretty happy. It feels good to have a job.
But seriously, no more celebrating with fast food. One-time-only thing!!!!
